Preparing Your Home for Sale

Inspect your home to ensure that it is visually appealing to a buyer. Items to Focus On When Preparing Your Home For Sale:

1. Make sure that the house feels as spacious and open as possible. Clutter is not appealing to a home buyer. Make sure that you remove any items in your home that may create a visually cluttered environment.

Exterior:

• Be sure that all lights are operable.
• Be sure that all gutter and rain leaders are operable and clear of any blockage.
• Make sure all windows are clean.
• If work is needed on any exterior part of the house, be sure that it is taken care of such as deck work, paint, cracks in the driveway.
• Your lawn must look great. Be sure to cut the grass and free your yard of any clutter and debris. Enhance your lawn as much as possible with colorful plantings where appropriate.
